Uncovering the Lesser Knowns - Handling Hidden Secrets
Much has always been hidden. The Sacred, the disturbing, the embarrassing, the sensitive, the simple, the wonderful. It is time now for much to become known by the many.
Secrets and Secrecy
There are many reasons for holding information as "secret".
In the past, a major reason was to respect the information and make sure it was only used properly and safely.
A main reason for secrecy in current times is that people who know the "secret" feel that if others learn the "secret" or the fact that it has been kept hidden from them, that people would be angry, may feel betrayed, and/or otherwise be seriously upset, even to the point of hysteria and suicide. This is a valid concern as some people tend to be judgemental, slow to forgive and extremely reluctant to give up their comfort zones. Those who have erred in the past and have had a change of heart, modifying and reversing their behaviors, may wish to hide this fact as "once a .___. always a .___." is the operating philosophy of many. People who have made mistakes may have a very hard time changing their ways while being constantly reminded by others of their past errors.
Some of what is hidden is "good" news. That it has been kept secret and the cost of keeping it secret may be very disturbing to many.
We have created a newsletter, "Uncover the Lesser Knowns", which focuses on gently handling the revelation of hidden secrets. It will not disclose major secrets but will help people learn how to handle their own reactions to unpleasant and/or unexpected news. See Uncover the Lesser Knowns Newsletter.
The best way for us to control what we think and feel may be to replace disturbing thoughts and/or feelings with ones which raise our energy levels such as uplifting music, something which makes us laugh, being with nature, etc. In other words, change the "channel". We can make daily schedules for ourself until we are feeling better, much like we do with a physical illness. And for the same reasons. We need to recover our equilibrium, to regain our strength, to repair our spirit, to raise our energy levels, to love our selves. Let go of judgment, other people's rules, what we used to do. Be gentle with self and others.
